Making Connections & Having Fun!

On Saturday Nov. 16th, we held our Shades Social Mixer event at Local 44, a very nice spot near the Scarborough Town Centre in Toronto. The event was a Mix and Mingle with a twist. Click Here to see photos

Our guests were able to make conversations to get to know people but we also allowed for romantic connections for the singles in the crowd. Because we knew our guests might be a little shy, we threw some fun “icebreaker” questions in the mix as well. Questions ranged from do you like the beach or the mountains to what are your favourite pizza toppings? And so with that the conversations started to flow!

We also had a local comedian, Jay Martin, perform some stand up which we got the crowd going! Jay is doing some great things, including working on his first feature film, keep an eye on him, Shades Readers!

We ended the night with two rounds of the Dating Game, one round with a Bachelor and the next with a Bachelorette. We had a lot of fun with that!

Shades Readers, our tag line is Connecting People Through Experiences and we really felt like we did that in a different and entertaining way at this event.
