Traditional Based Roles Are Changing Rapidly! Is This A Good Thing?
Contrary to popular belief the world average is 1.06 males to females. In fact it has been noted that out of 1000 people, 504 are most likely to be males and 496 females. Surprising? Well I'm sure yes, since you may be used to hearing people describe ratios like 7 women to every 1 male in certain social settings.
Another interesting statistic is that married women are most likely to earn more than their husbands, as more and more women are becoming the breadwinners in their families. The traditional place of women staying at home continues to take a back seat to dual income families ability to do so much more when both parties are contributing. On the other hand as the female gender continues to be more career focused we see some males enjoying the role of staying home and being the primary caregiver to their children.
According to a Pew research study, while less than 10% of people voice their support for males staying at home and raising their children, we do see a shift in what has been known as traditional male or female professions.
